The Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan held an extended meeting of the board “On the results of the activities of state statistics bodies of the Republic of Tajikistan for the first half of 2019 and further tasks for 2019” with the participation of the Director of the Statistics Agency Hasanzoda G. and deputy directors, heads of departments and divisions the central office, the Main Computing Center, the Agency’s main statistical offices in the regions and the city of Dushanbe, the statistical offices of the districts, representatives of several ministries and departments.
The meeting was opened by the Director of the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Ms. Hasanzoda G. K.
It was noted that the statistical bodies, guided by the missive of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, by orders, instructions of the Head of State and by Decrees of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on statistical issues worked fruitfully in the first half of 2019. The Agency has completed all the tasks for the first half of 2019 under the “Program of statistical work for 2019”.
The results of the activities of the state statistics bodies of the Republic of Tajikistan for 6 months of 2019 and further tasks for 2019 were presented by the first deputy director of the Agency on Statistics Shokirzoda Shodmon. During this time, 4908 thousand statistical works were submitted.
1571 documents, 38 laws and decrees, 408 instructions of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, 780 letters from ministries and departments, 150 letters from local statistical bodies, and 165 letters by e-mail, 30 appeals of citizens to which answers were provided in a timely manner were received.
In the first half of 2019, in accordance with the program of statistical works, 11 statistical compendia, 90 bulletins, 10 informations, 25 express information and 32 analytical reports were prepared.
The board heard reports of statistical bodies for the first half of 2019 and further tasks at the republican, regional level and the city of Dushanbe.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to such issues as: implementation of the Action Plan for the improvement of statistical reports for the period 2016–2021; on the production of agricultural products; on conducting a census of population and housing, and others.
Representatives of the Ministry of Finance, Economic Development and Trade, Agriculture and other departments expressed their opinion on various points of the speeches and gave a good assessment to the workers in the statistics sphere.
At the end of the meeting, taking into account the consideration of the issues on the agenda and the speeches of the heads of local statistical bodies, the Director of the Statistics Agency, Gulnora Hasanzoda, gave specific instructions and the board made relevant decisions.
