According to the Twining Partnership Contract signed between the Agency on statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Joint Venture (Consortium) headed by DevStat, the visit was made during the period from 12-16 March 2018 by the International Expert, Mr. Pavel Onufrievs on the creation of databases.
During the visit, the expert, jointly with the specialists of the Programming Department of the Main Computing Center of the Agency on statistics familiarized and studied the current database system, structure and work on electronic data collection. The problems that slow down the data entry program have been identified.
During the mission, a designed database was created, a data update scheme was developed that would allow to reduce the time required to accept and prepare new data for future use.
At the end of the visit, the expert, Mr. Pavel Onufriev, provided recommendations on the continuation of the started work on the transition to a new structure of the business register. Together with the programming department, the department for register maintenance, it is necessary to describe the plan for the distribution of data from the current tables to new ones.
In addition, it is necessary to fill out a new database, prepare a transition and to start to use a new database for all related systems. It is necessary to raise the issue at the interagency level about the creation of an address register. The address register will improve the operation of the single window system, as well as will facilitate to conduct the sociological surveys and censuses.
