On April 13 this year, the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan hosted an expanded board of the Agency on the issue “On the results of the activities of statistical bodies in the first quarter of 2022 and tasks until the end of the year” with the participation of the Agency’s management, heads of the main departments of the Agency in GBAO, regions, cities Dushanbe, heads of statistical bodies of cities and districts of republican subordination, departments, departments and sectors of the Central Office and the State Institution “Main Computing Center” of the Agency on Statistics and representatives of a number of ministries and departments.
Director of the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Hasanzoda Gulnora Kenja opened the meeting with a welcoming speech and briefly presented information on the activity of statistical bodies in the first quarter of this year.
Then, Shodmon Shokirzoda, First Deputy Director of the Agency on Statistics, made a detailed report on the activities of state statistics bodies in the first quarter of 2022, who noted that statistical bodies carry out their activities on the basis of the Message of the President to the Majlisi Oli, orders, instructions of the President, and resolutions of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan according to statistics and qualitatively fulfilled the tasks assigned to them within the specified time frame.
It was noted that within the framework of the Program of Statistical Works for 2022, approved by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated March 1, 2022 No. 888, the state statistical bodies completed 3005 statistical works or completely completed statistical work in accordance with the established deadlines for the 1st quarter of 2022.
During the meeting, reports were heard from the heads of the main departments of the Agency in the regions, departments, departments and sectors of the Agency on statistics in areas of republican subordination, and the leadership of the Agency gave specific instructions and recommendations for further improving the level and quality of activities.
Local statistical bodies have committed themselves to summarizing and submitting statistical reports in a timely manner, providing reliable statistical information, strictly avoiding cases of accepting reports without supporting documents.
Representatives of ministries and departments asked questions on sectoral statistics, and in turn, the leadership and officials of the Central Office of the Agency on Statistics provided substantiated answers.
The Agency's management gave specific instructions to local statistical bodies by the end of the year to implement the plan for accounting for household books in electronic format, control and timeliness of measurement of sown areas, coverage of economic entities with statistical records, observation of real prices in the markets and others.
