On Junel 13, 2020, the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan hosted an expanded meeting of the collegiums “On the results of activities of state statistics bodies of the Republic of Tajikistan for the first half year of 2020 and further tasks for 2020” with the participation of the main statistics departments of the regions, Dushanbe, statistical offices areas of republican subordination, administrations and departments of the Central Office and the State Institution of the "Main Computing Center" of the Agency.
The meeting was opened by the Director of the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Hasanzoda Gulnora Kenja, who noted that for the statistical authorities the first half year of 2020 was fruitful.
First Deputy Director of the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Shokirzoda Sh. presented a detailed report on the main directions of work of statistical agencies for the first half year of 2020. It was noted that the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, according to the Statistical Work Program, which was approved by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated November 27, 2019 No. 566, completed all the tasks for the first half year of 2020 and a total of 4929 statistical works were performed.
For the first half year of 2020, in accordance with the program of statistical work, 10 statistical collections, 161 bulletins, 22 information, 23 express information and 42 analytical reports were prepared.
In order to implement the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan dated September 30, 2019, No. 1356 of the Decrees of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan "On the census of the population and housing of the Republic of Tajikistan in 2020" from October 1 to 15, a census of the population and housing of the Republic of Tajikistan will be conducted. Preparatory work in this area began in 2015 according to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan dated October 12, 2015, No. 572; Decisions of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the preparation and conduct of the census of the population and housing of the Republic of Tajikistan in 2020”.
It was noted that in order to inform the population of the Republic of Tajikistan about the census of the population and housing of the Republic of Tajikistan from October 1 to 15, 2020, in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund and the Government of the Russian Federation, banners and posters were prepared and submitted for printing different sizes.
In addition, reports on the census of the population and housing of the Republic of Tajikistan from October 1 to October 15, 2020 are regularly broadcast and covered at local and central television and radio stations, in newspapers, at meetings of executive bodies of local self-government and at other public events at the city level and areas.
The panel heard reports from local statistical authorities. The Agency's management, in order to improve the quality and effectiveness of the activity, provided useful suggestions and directions.
At the end of the board meeting, the Director of the Statistics Agency Gulnora Kenja instructed all heads of statistical departments in the regions, cities and regions of the republican subordination to ensure the transparency of statistical data, especially agricultural statistics, the expansion of outreach among the population and the conduct of a high-level political event, that is, the census and the housing stock. During the census and the housing stock, specific instructions were given on the mandatory observance of personal hygiene rules for the prevention and spread of corona virus (COVID-19) and the regular disinfection of the premises of local statistical offices and the preparation for winter and preparation for winter.
